Beautiful, sustainable and cheap environments with OSB

The OSB name derives from the English Oriented Strand Board, equivalent to "Oriented Wood Strip Panel". Its panels are formed by wood chips and resin, applied under high temperatures and pressure. The material emerged in the US as a second-generation waferboard, a panel with smaller, non-oriented chips. Since its launch, its plates have been well accepted in the construction market, since its physical and mechanical properties are optimal for structural purposes. Since the 1990s, the OSB has been taking away the best-known "Compensado" in the market, without owing anything.

In addition to its use in civil construction, the OSB also shows itself as a versatile material for use in environments. With its characteristic texture, it often does not require the use of paints and finishes, and the "pure" panel is used. Typically, you'll see planned environments made of MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), also great material, but the use of alternative materials in the decoration is increasing. Even cardboard, a material often regarded as devoid of beauty, is increasingly used. The image below may reaffirm this idea (or you need to revisit your concept of "beauty").

The advantages of the OSB, in addition to the already talked about mechanical resistance, is that it has good rigidity, stability and - the cherry of the cake - the beloved low cost. From the sustainable point of view, this type of plaque decomposes more quickly than solid wood. In addition, most OSBs on the market use only wood chips from reforestation. Here are some well thought out environments with OSB:
